Why add effects separately to project and video clips?
It's better to add some effects to project (e.g. Watermark), because any transition will not hide their functionality. But when you need to add an effect, that will end with transition, you should add it only to one selected video clip (e.g. to fix a video clip brittleness you could add a brightness effect to selected clip, so it will end with ending transition and apply only to its owner clip)
How to add effects?
| · | To add effect to project you have to click on  button in main menu or click on Add button above of project effects list on effects page

| · | To add effect to selected video clip you have to select some inserted video file (no transition) and click on Add button above of selected clip effects list on effects page

| · | From the pop up effects menu choose one of offered effect.
